All Saints’ Singers

All Saints Singers gave two excellent performances at the Bournemouth Music Competition on June 14th. In the first class, ‘Choral Singing of Light Opera or Music from the Shows’, they performed ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ (from ‘We Will Rock You’) and ‘Rhythm of Life’ (‘Sweet Charity’), the adjudicator noting that “the various textures were really well done” and the production “fantastic” while “the final chord had fabulous impact.” In the ‘Choral Sacred Song’ class, they performed ‘Ave Verum’ and ‘Day By Day’ (from ‘Godspell’), again winning praise for their “lovely, lovely quality” and for getting the balance “absolutely spot on”. Members of the Singers are shown, with Musical Director Lisa Miller and accompanist Tony Robinson, taking a well-earned bow after their first class and on their way back in for the second class, after having also delighted passers-by with an impromptu warm-up performance in Bournemouth’s Lower Pleasure Gardens.

Since forming just 18 months ago All Saints Singers has gone from strength to strength
